Here is what to know about the Super Bowl oddsboard:

The Defending Champs: The Eagles are in a bad way. While they are still a respectable seventh on the Super Bowl oddsboard, they have lost three in a row, falling at Dallas in Week 12, at home against Chicago in Week 13 and then on the road against the Chargers on Monday night. It’s been the offense that has failed Philly of late, averaging just 18.3 points per game in those three losses. The defense has held opponents to 23.3 points per game over that span. Philadelphia’s offensive struggles reached a boiling point on Monday, as Jalen Hurts threw four interceptions and fumbled once. When it comes to winning the Big Game in consecutive years, other than the Chiefs going back-to-back in 2022 and 2023, winning two in a row is a feat seldom accomplished in the Super Bowl era. New England won the Super Bowl in 2003 and 2004. Before that, the Broncos won in 1997 and 1998, and the Cowboys won in 1993 and 1994. The Niners went back-to-back in 1988 and 1989; the Steelers won in 1974 and 1975, and then again in 1978 and 1979. The Dolphins won in 1972 and 1973, and the Packers won in 1966 and 1967.

The Favorite: The top spot still belongs to a single team: the L.A. Rams. They improved to 10-3 after pummeling the Cardinals in Week 14, 45-17. Since their bye week, the Rams have won five of their last six, and quarterback Matthew Stafford is the favorite to win regular-season MVP.

Ones to Watch: The Seahawks — the Rams’ NFC West rival — moved up the board slightly from +700 to +650 after their 37-9 victory over Atlanta. A Week 16 matchup with the Rams will likely help decide the division title and possibly the NFC No. 1 seed. A couple of other teams to watch are the Chiefs and the Ravens, as their odds keep lengthening in the wake of recent losses. The Chiefs dropped from +1700 to +4500 to +5000 after falling 20-10 to the Texans. The Ravens moved to +4000 from +1800 after getting upset at home by the Steelers, 27-22. Both squads started the year near the top of the Super Bowl oddsboard; now both are 6-7 and are currently on the bubble to make the postseason.
